Scopes
Limited Use Requirements
The Preserver App complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Our sensitive scopes are for access to the user’s Google Calendar, Google Drive and Google Docs.
- Google Calendar: The Preserver app requires access to the User’s Google Calendar to add one new calendar appointment at, or after, the close of the collection of observations made by the user whilst using the app (this is what we call an “Activity”). By definition, this new calendar appointment is created IN THE PAST, with the start and end times of the new appointment matching the start and end times of the recent Activity. NO data is transferred to the app developers or anyone else. NO EXISTING calendar data is read, copied, shared, edited, deleted, or otherwise interfered with.
- Google Drive & Docs: The Preserver app requires access to the User’s Google Drive to upload the recently captured media of the Activity. This media may include text comments, photos, audio, and video recordings. Docs is required to create a Google Doc that includes hyperlinks to each of these uploaded files, as well as the automatically recorded geographic location and date/time stamp of both the beginning and end of the Activity. NO data is transferred to the app developers or anyone else. NO EXISTING Google drive data is read, copied, shared, edited, deleted, or otherwise interfered with.
